Oh no, don't you dare think for one second that my family is perfect, near perfect, or even striving for perfection! Sure on the surface, it looks all well and good, but there are days, weeks, seasons, and phases that find us depressed, irritated, stubborn, needing attitude adjustments and what have you. We all have our struggles. I think we all, to some degree, look at other families and tend to think, 'Wow, they've got it all figured out.' or, 'They seem to be so happy and what's wrong with us? Why can't we be more like them?'
I heard someone once say that if we all threw our problems in a pile and had to choose, we'd want our own back. Embrace your life just as it is. Think of problems as simply, challenges to grow.
I am reserving this section of my blog for the good, the bad, and the ugly. (yes, I am a walking cliche'!)
Anyone who knows me knows that if anything, I keep it real. It has been the backbone of our marriage, and the thing that keeps me sane, aside from Christ.
Check back from time to time. You'll find new posts under the "Keepin' It Real" label on the sidebar. I hope to pass on encouragement, and humor for those of us in need.
